I was mesmerised as I walked into Aashim’a studio, located in Punjabi Bagh, on the first floor of her beautiful home.

Her gorgeous designs were displayed all over her studio and I didn’t know where to begin. One thing that really struck me was that although her designs were both intricate and dramatic, they were easy to wear and rather light, making her ethnic collection perfect for those travelling this summer for a destination wedding.

I selected some of my favourite pieces from her collection, that I thought would be easy to wear and easy to pack with you for a destination wedding!

To begin with I thought that the off shoulder ox blood gown is perfect for a cocktail function. The gown is an elegant and classic piece. The bright aqua and pink outfit really stood out for me, I thought it was the obvious choice for a mehendhi party. The one shoulder midnight blue anarkali gown is fun, festive and fuss free making dance time at the sangeet function an absolute breeze. The white and gold cape ‘Ameerah’ piece makes a stunning choice for a daytime wedding and brunch.

Aashima customizes pieces for her clients to suit their frame and body types and goes into detail while styling them as well.  She is both a talented designer and stylist!
